Except you know what sucks more? Being raped in the ass. At ten years old. And having somebody walk in on you and the asshole who’s doing it and them not saying a thing.
That’s something that sucks more than your head coach getting fired for being an unethical douchebag.There are some things you don’t fuck around with, and one of those things is child rape. If you see somebody rape a child, tell somebody else and then wash your hands of the whole matter, then yeah, you deserve to get your ass fucking canned for being ridiculous. Paterno might have thought he was doing the smart thing, but he wasn’t. He was doing the stupidest thing he possibly could’ve done, and now he’s had to pay the price.
But you know who is really paying the price here? That child. All of you fuckers who are protesting the firing of Joe Paterno are essentially saying, “Fuck that kid! I don’t care!”
All of you should be fucking ashamed of yourselves.
Completely agree. Everyone who heard or saw anything about this situation had an obligation to report this to the POLICE immediately, not just their superior school officials. Just about everyone involved is at fault for this and I can’t believe that people are trying to justify JoePa staying on as coach. Past accomplishments and history should not overpower a major fuck-up. All it takes is one mistake to screw up everything you’ve worked to achieve and JoePa made a mistake. He has to go through the proper consequences and so does everyone else who did not notify authorities or attempt to really resolve this problem. People who don’t see that or understand that clearly are biased in their opinions of JoePa and his legacy and they need to put that shit to the side and look at the big picture. I feel horrible for these kids that this wasn’t resolved for 9-10 fucking years. They deserved better.
